James Eckerle

James Eckerle is a senior financial services executive with extensive experience managing in highly complex operating environments. Jim was Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Technology for The Hartford, reporting to the CEO with responsibility for enterprise technology, strategic initiatives, and oversight for a staff of 5,500, including 3 CIO’s. He previously was Senior Vice President, Global Transition & Quality and Change Executive at Bank of America, where he reported to the President of Technology and Operations, with full responsibility for enterprise transition activities, the Six Sigma Program, and a $2B project portfolio and 1,500 associates. Jim identified and saved over $10 billion in costs savings following the acquisition and integration of LaSalle Bank, Countrywide and Merrill Lynch. His expertise includes strategy, finance, operations, acquisition planning and execution, Lean Six Sigma process improvement, organizational development, risk identification and mitigation, and IT management and regulatory compliance
